Arlington Industries started in 1972 as a small distributor of toner in the Chicago area. The company’s first building was located in Arlington Heights, IL, and took its name from that location. The three original owners / employees of the company served as the sales, purchasing, distribution, credit and marketing departments. Although our roots were humble, the company grew quickly, and established relationships with the leading manufacturers of yesterday and today.
In the early 1990’s, Arlington began selling limited quantities of compatible imaging supplies. Quality was always the top concern, and the company intentionally kept distribution low and the product SKUs limited. When compatible manufacturers began to apply scientific principles to the remanufacturing processes, quality improved dramatically. Arlington had the vision to see that the improved quality and significant savings in cost would eventually make compatibles the preferred alternative to OEM product. After strategically aligning ourselves with a few key remanufacturers, Arlington is now the leading full-line distributor of compatible imaging supplies in the United States.
In 1992, Arlington expanded to include a sales and distribution center in Atlanta, GA. Later, in 1993, a third location was added in Los Angeles, CA; and the company became a true nation-wide distributor. During these years, we increased our focus on copiers, fax products and on highly trained and professional sales representatives. This focus paid off, and Arlington soon became a preferred supplier to many of the industry's largest dealers and resellers. In order to better serve our customers as a single-source supplier, Arlington also established direct relationships with all of the major printer manufacturers.
Today, Arlington serves the entire nation out of five distribution facilities. As always, we sell only to dealers, never to end-users. We focus on consumable supplies for copiers, fax machines and printers. For the last 30+ years, Arlington continues to be your high value source for imaging supplies.
